In the Gili Islands, there is no shortage of small local boats willing to transport you, from island to island and back to the mainland. None of boats has any kind of safety equipment and the waters around the Gili’s can be choppy. Regardless, they are a handy form of transport and make exploring the islands easy. Here is some schedule information: Gili Air to Gili Meno (8.30am & 3pm) Getting from any of these islands to the port of Bangsal, in NW Lombok is even easier, just wait for the public boat to show up. This happens when its full. The inter-island service is called ‘the Hopping Island boat service‘ and runs a circular loop, as indicated in the schedule. Tickets for 1 leg are around 10,000rp.Boats in Lombok & the Gili Islands
